Big Changes
When I started this blog, I was doing so to write down my opinions,
progress, and record of my efforts using the internet. I was starting
a website and exploring ways to use this median to develop a stream of
income. I also wanted to expose the HYPE found so prevalent in
internet marketing.
Well, there has been a BIG change in our lives that will require
significant adjustments in my time. We have found a restaurant to
lease. It meets every criteria we had to have if we were going to
attempt this business.
I wrote in an earlier post how ones that we had looked at in the past
had had outrageous selling prices and during the last two years had
closed. All of them.
I decided that if we were ever to open a breakfast/lunch place, it
would have to have some very specific requirements. At the time, these
conditions seemed as if no place would satisfy as they were kind of
restrictive. (most important were the ones that reduce our risk!)
So about a month ago, I was looking in the paper and saw two ads. One
I completely ignored as it seemed by the wording that it would no be
a good fit for us. But after continuing to see it listed, I decided to
call just to get the facts of it.
It was then that I found that this place was the one. It is located in
Florence, Colorado, a 45 mile drive from where we live, small
community, no competition from the big boys, and the option to lease
it very reasonably with an option to buy.
In the past 3 weeks, everything has fallen into place, including
the sale of our house! Amazing.
This will mean that I will have to adjust my plans. I will have to
modify my plans for my web site Our Springs. And I hope I can continue
to use the blog in the same manner as I have in the. It will document
this walk I take. Just an everyday guy following his goals.
