Curve Balls

You never know when your everyday life routine will
suddenly change, changing everything in your daily
schedule.

The past week has been a series of such for me.
One of those has been a trip to Phoenix to be with
my Dad who successfully underwent emergency
surgery for an aneurysm found in a routine ultra-
sound last week. What luck. Thankfully, he is alive
today and is recovering.

When you get news like that, NOTHING is more
important. EVERYTHING takes a back seat. And
you do what you have to do.

GRATITUDE
My last blog entry was on the topic of gratitude
and was prompted by a completely different
circumstance. But it sure applies to both situations.

In regards to this event with my Dad, we are so
lucky to be living in a time with such great health
care. Having access to skilled surgeons and technology
that allows you to overcome health issues that just
a few years ago would have meant being sent home
with numbered days is a great blessing.

No matter what you face or the outcomes, having
a spirit of gratitude makes a HUGE difference. I have
re-focused and committed to counting the good
found in everyday. Even when there are events that
disrupt you, some in very negative ways, I see the
importance of moving forward with the understanding
that in all things, there will be good outcomes. You do
have to trust in a higher authority.

Moving back to the routine
After having a week of disruption, I now have a number
of things that require attention.

This week I plan to write the first article on a local
business recommendation for the community at the
website, OurSprings.com. Update the picture for Today's
View. Decide on next step for locally promoting the site
to the community. (I am reading about getting and using
publicity in doing this.)

Alexa ranking continues to improve. The number now
sits at 363,625.

More than 4 inches of snow has fallen this A.M. THIS
will be my next picture for our community view!
